Rottweiler Breed Story
The Rottweiler is one of the oldest dogs, and through folklore can be traced back to the Romans where it was used for battle and to herd and protect the livestock of the Roman army while they traveled across many countries. After crossing the Alps, the Rottweiler settled with the army in what is now Switzerland and Germany, whereby mating with the indigenous dogs the breed we now know began to emerge.

Rottweiler Temperament
An innately good natured and calm dog with a fondness of children, the Rottweiler is an obedient and devoted dog once trained. This breed is always happy to work and will do so with a fearless attitude reacting to the surroundings around him, obeying the commands of their handler.

• Coat: Medium length, coarse, dense coat, with an undercoat
• Color: Black
• Markings: Rich tan above each eye, on the cheeks, muzzle, throat, chest and legs, as well as under the base of the tail.
• Lifespan: Average 10-12 years
